Fishing charts and predictions · Oregon & Washington coast

Bluewater is run by Colby Blair, Liberty Lake, Washington. Using the app or the website means accepting these terms. They are written to be read.
Bar conditions, live vessel positions, distances, float plans, and water depth with its shading are free. They need no account and no payment, and that is not a trial.
A subscription adds the rest: sea surface temperature, thermal and chlorophyll fronts, chlorophyll, upwelling, bottom type, currents, fishing effort, the full day-by-day archive, and offline storage of chart data. A new account may unlock all of it free for 30 days, once.
Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple, not by us, under Apple's terms. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. Subscriptions bought on the website are refunded by us; write to blairtechworks@gmail.com and we will sort it out.
Bluewater assembles public data from NOAA, the United States Coast Guard, Marine Cadastre and PMEP, and computes predictions from it.
It is not a navigational chart and must not be used for navigation. It is not official, it is not certified, and it carries no warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability. Satellite passes are missed, feeds go down, reports go stale, and predictions are estimates that are sometimes wrong.
Bar conditions are the clearest case. What the app shows is whatever the Coast Guard last filed, which may be hours old. The broadcast and the recorded line are the authority. Check them. Decisions about whether to cross a bar, or to go to sea at all, are yours, and you make them with the weather, the forecast, your vessel and your own judgement, not with this app.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. Do not share an account or a subscription with other people: a subscription is bound to one account, and a second account claiming it will be refused.
Delete your account at any time from the account sheet in the app. It removes your row entirely. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription; do that in Settings.
We may suspend an account that is being used to redistribute the data wholesale, to attack the service, or to break these terms.
Use it for your own fishing and boating, and share a float plan or a link with whoever you like. Do not scrape the service, resell the data, or republish it as a product of your own.
The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss, injury, damage or expense arising from using it or from being unable to use it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after that is acceptance. If a change matters, we will say so in the app.
